About
BRAVO ARMS – OUR CREED
We at Bravo Arms believe that our Forefathers bestowed upon each citizen of this great nation the unalienable right to keep and bear arms. This sovereign right was not an after thought; it was not intended to be an anachronism, it was not sophistry; it was not a mistake!
Our Forefathers were erudite historians who understood all too well that unopposed centralized power always oppresses that which it intends to “govern”.
Our Forefathers were the single most intelligent and selfless group of individuals who have ever assembled with the sole intent to create a government “…of the people, for the people, by the people.”
In order of importance, they determined that the best way to secure the long term survival of this visionary republic would be to acknowledge that every American citizen is free…
TO SPEAK
&
TO KEEP AND BEAR ARMS
Truly, it is impossible to oppress a citizenry that is free to express itself and that is free to defend itself.
Beware the plaintive pundit who straight faced and guileless assures the flock that these freedoms are relative and certainly not necessary now.
Reassuringly they plead, “Why the Boys-in-Blue will serve and protect you at home; and what peril abroad is a match for Uncle Sam’s might? Fear not; We will keep you safe. Quiet your acrimonious inquisitions! Lay down your guard!
Should we not reply, “We cherish our men and women in uniform who risk their lives in the service of this great nation; they are the hallmark of courage and honor upon which our Republic was founded. It is not them we fear, but rather their charges whose malignant machinations risk tarnishing the code that called them into service….”for the people, of the people, and by the people.”
Pitted not against our law enforcement and military brethren, but armed along side them; it is we the citizens of America, an armed militia, who were charged by our founding Founding Fathers, to fight for our sovereign rights against all domestic and foreign threats.
Beware the WOLF IN SHEEP’S CLOTHING
Listen to the hallowed words of the first Americans who bestowed upon us the solemn individual responsibility to protect and defend this great nation
The Second Amendment
A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.
George Washington
“A free people ought not only to be armed and disciplined, but they should have sufficient arms and ammunition to maintain a status of independence from any who might attempt to abuse them, which would include their own government.”
“To be prepared for war, is one of the most effectual means of preserving peace.”
Ben Franklin
“… as all history informs us, there has been in every State & Kingdom a constant kind of warfare between the governing & governed: the one striving to obtain more for its support, and the other to pay less. And this has alone occasioned great convulsions, actual civil wars, ending either in dethroning of the Princes, or enslaving of the people. Generally indeed the ruling power carries its point, the revenues of princes constantly increasing, and we see that they are never satisfied, but always in want of more. The more the people are discontented with the oppression of taxes; the greater need the prince has of money to distribute among his partisans and pay the troops that are to suppress all resistance, and enable him to plunder at pleasure. There is scarce a king in a hundred who would not, if he could, follow the example of Pharaoh, get first all the peoples money, then all their lands, and then make them and their children servants for ever …”
John Adams
“Arms in the hands of the citizens may be used at individual discretion for the defense of the country, the overthrow of tyranny or private self-defense.”
Thomas Jefferson
“Honor, justice, and humanity, forbid us tamely to surrender that freedom which we received from our gallant ancestors, and which our innocent posterity have a right to receive from us.”
“The constitutions of most of our states (and of the United States) assert that all power is inherent in the people; that they may exercise it by themselves; that it is their right and duty to be at all times armed; that they are entitled to freedom of person, freedom of religion, freedom of property and freedom of the press.”
“When governments fear the people, there is liberty. When the people fear the government, there is tyranny. The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.”
Sam Adams
“The said Constitution [shall] be never construed to authorize Congress to infringe the just liberty of the press, or the rights of conscience; or to prevent the people of the United States, who are peaceable citizens, from keeping their own arms.”
James Madison (Architect of the Second Amendment)
“A well regulated militia, composed of the body of the people, trained to arms, is the best and most natural defense of a free country.”
Patrick Henry
“The great object is that every man be armed. Everyone who is able may have a gun.”
“Guard with jealous attention the public liberty. Suspect everyone who approaches that jewel. Unfortunately, nothing will preserve it but downright force. When you give up that force, you are ruined.”
